Well, lots of stitching, quilting, drawing up new designs, eating good food, more housework than I care to remember, chatting to the chooks and a little bit of gardening..... That's what I've been doing for the last month while waiting for my little workhorse to be repaired (thank goodness for extended warranties). Christmas has been and gone, hope you all had fun and found time to appreciate everything that the festive season means to you. We certainly did, with Lisa our beautiful almost 25 year old, Amanda our eldest daughter and my Mum, Pat. Unfortunately our son, Andrew couldn't get the time off so stayed in Sydney. He gets paid to sail around Sydney Harbour every day. Amanda was home for just over a week - along with Willis her cat. Of course, our two cats Norman and Ratty had their serenity upended as they only just manage to tolerate each other, let alone an intruder. But we all survived thanks to the Willis Motel that Col built under the house. Truly a sumptious retreat, it boasts a North wing, East wing, separate toilet facilities and a mezzanine sleeping loft. Of course, the north and east wings are joined by an arch doorway with a quilted curtain for privacy.
Anyway, back to the chooks. I have three gorgeous girls who gobble up our scraps and reward us with two, sometimes three, eggs a day. They are Nisey, Bevvy and Shelley - named after my three sisters who live in Rockhampton, Brisbane and Weipa respectively. I don't see them often enough but at least I can give their namesakes a cuddle every day, feathers and all!
I've been busy with some new designs and will post some photos tomorrow,
cya
