How fabulous is a long weekend? We had a fairly busy one with the obligatory trip to Bunnings and some gardening on Saturday, including a new little garden with two camellias, so pretty. On Sunday we headed off to Stanthorpe with some friends for a spot of wine tasting. It was a glorious Autumn day, we didn't do a lot of wine tasting but really enjoyed some of the other delights the region has to offer. Mt Stirling olives is worth a stop if you're ever in the region. We had the best lunch at Thunderbolt Farm with our Austrian host, Claudia. The meals were traditional & HUGE! Then off to the Bramble Patch for a boysenberry ice-cream before we headed for home, worn out but very satisfied. LSH played golf yesterday afternoon so I finished a client quilt.
One of my favourite things in the whole world is have a chat with a friend over a tea or coffee but I usually drag the 'everyday' mugs out of the drawer - it's a habit. Why don't we use our pretty china more often? Fear of breaking it I guess but it's such a beautiful thing to do and I'm sure it makes the brew even more enjoyable. With this in mind, I've been working on my latest little embroidery design "Taking Tea". I hope to have the finished project ready at the end of this week, but here's another peek..... And, another pattern means another giveaway!
happy stitching,
Cheryl xx
