The newest issue - Vol 10 No 3 - is about to arrive and in it you'll find another of my projects. Let me introduce you to 'Primrose and Passion' - a duo of delectable proportions :-) This is the front cover....
I can see you Primrose, you're looking all gorgeous....
The cushions feature two different embroidered panels with roses, vines and whimsical birds, using colour shading to highlight the designs. They also have simple patchwork piecing to frame them and make the perfect companions for 'Rosebud'..... Remember 'Rosebud'?
She's so sweet and has a superb trilling voice.... Can you see her backup girl? That's Bev the Butterfly.....
You'll be able to read a little story about me in this issue...
Now I've been thinking today. I really love craft magazines and I read them from front to back and top to bottom... and then I read them again :-)
They are a treasure box of information, fun, projects, giveaways, resources and loads of other stuff. I even love the adverts..... Mags are great value when you consider just how much you get for your money!! Do you have a favourite craft magazine? Or do you graze through the shelves at the newsagent like cows in a paddock, nibbling at different ones each month? I love them all.... and the shelves in my sewing room are proof of that pudding!
have a fun stitchy day
Cheryl xx
I read your profile and loved you project in the mag... I have just had one published in Homespun for the November issue... I designed Charlie Chirp... the cardinal make do.. it is nice to see our designs in print...

Yay!!! Cheryl - I've learned how to post comments on your blog. Is ya proud of me?!!!
Sweetie, your designs are just delish! Love em! As for me, well yes I am a cow grazing in the newsagency... but I *have* to get Homespun each month... and I usually also buy Handmade and Country Threads! Sometimes Patchwork & Stitching, depending on what grabs me on the front cover. I also love "Quilts & More", a US mag - but I have only bought it once, other times I just enjoy flicking through. Gosh what a long message... would you like to know what I had for breakfast as well? The rate I'm going I"ll probably tell ya!
Hugs sweetie! And congrats on your profile... can't wait till my newsagency has CT on its shelves so I can go buy it! he he...
Oops, nearly forgot, it's Vikki, btw! xxxx

Gorgeous design and you're right... A very suitable companion to Rosebud. I LOVE the names - they are inspiring in themselves and make you feel you are creating a friend!!

How beautiful!!!! I used to subscribe to Mary Englebriet's Home Companion, but they stopped publication - if I could afford to, I'd subscribe to ALL the Aussie mags. I pounce on them when I find them here!

Can't wait to get it. I will hover around the mailbox. I subscribe to 6 different craft magazines. It is rather shameful really. Congrats on the cover!!!!! A-

Hia Cheryl,Yes we get that mag in my local craft store as well as Australian Homespun. I'll be on the lookout for it- may take a while to arrive this side of the globe because of the post strike.
I find mags more up to date than books and very good for telling you when a show is on. I think they help you to feel part of something -like Blogland does.

I received my copy of Creating Country Threads in the post yesterday and enjoyed reading all about you. You must be excited to be profiled.
I'm a magazineaholic. I have way too many and am seriously running out of space. I subscribe to quite a few, which keeps the cost down. I also read and re-read them.
