I can't remember if I introduced you to Theodorus Smarmypants in the flesh...
Oh he drives me crazy, he's such a smart alec... cop a load of the poncy look on his face! He'll soon be joined by Delores the most delightful dragonfly.... she maintains a flea circus, did you know?
I need 2 more bugs to complete Bug-A-Licious No. 2
We already have Madamoiselle Celeste Bouquet who's enjoying a fling with Sir Alphonse D'Arbignon, the retired surgeon.... and we mustn't forget Lady Polly Flotsam being admired from afar by Captain Frelly B. Dingle (he's captain of the local vigoro team... but of course, you already knew that...)
~ Bug-A-Licious No. 1 set is available from my Etsy store as a printed pattern ~
Foggy Willow Downs is their habitat...
but where do they go when it rains?
I think they play hide and seek in the Murraya hedges, and after all this rain it looks like funny little man will be trimming hedges this weekend... he might find them hiding
so our numbers 7 & 8 bugs will need to be equally as important, colourful and of somewhat shady character as their 6 other friends. Can you think of any?
catch ya later, baked potato

thanks Naomi, the link should be ok now :-)
I love the idea of a little fat, slow worm.... and I think we need a baddie!! A leather clad hornet with studs, piercings and a frown ~ a bit like 'the leader of the pack'... remember that song?
Thanks for the suggestion Mrs Ethel Honeydew-Flannelflaps :-)

OOhhhh what about a baddie??? I love baddies.....what about a little snake or a hornet or even a lizard who eats the insects should they not be just a little bit wary. i love suspense.....

What about a slow worm sort of bug? Shield beetles or a bee or wasp to join the butterfly in the air?
