Stash Manicure... again

If you've been hanging around here for a year or two you might have already seen this post from way back in July 2009.  This little gift bag is part of the set I made for my Christmas in July partner.  It's a bit cute...

I've been asked to pop in to the Stash Manicure blog again for a bit of fun and decided to share these little designs once more.  They're so quick to stitch!

These little stitcheries that sit beautifully within a 2" square are available for free, just click on the design below and print.... I used three colours only - DMC 498, 680 and 934

and you'll find the instructions for the fabric basket here.  Maybe you've already seen it, they are popping up everywhere!

Rays of Sunshine

Tuesday 14th June was a beautiful day...

We captured these early morning rays of sunshine while walking along the beach at Hervey Bay.  It was the perfect start to a very important day

That was the day we sent our Mum on her final journey, the weather was sublime, the service was simple, gentle and full of love, the flowers were beautiful.  Our gentle, beautiful, loving Mum would have smiled

I'll be back next week - back into the swing of quilting, stitching, creating and trying to sort this new house into some sort of order... funny little man is in his element, the bare yard is his blank canvas and he's planning....

Otherwise occupied

The last couple of weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind. So many emotions, so many decisions, phone calls, emails and other stuff
We have a few more busy weeks ahead of us so my blog will be quiet until later this month

whats happening in our world

Still no internet, FRUSTRATING! Mum isn't well and there's been no stitching in my house for over a fortnight... Not fun.
My three beautiful sisters arrive today so we can all spend some quality sister time together and do some planning for mums care.
Growing old and frail isn't much of a party, is it?
And the new quilt room is a bit neglected, looks like a storage shed!
Will catch up again in a few days...
