Time to update Willowberry Designs, that’s what the time is!
I’ve been a bit ‘missing in action’ for a while, for a couple of reasons… mostly fun
Jury Duty (not fun)
Catching up on some quilting (fun)
An 80th birthday party (fun)
A couple of nice visits (fun)
Planning the next holiday… (super fun)

Jury duty is all done… the whole thing was a bit yuk. I wish there was a better way to deal with those who do the wrong thing … the process seems oddly lopsided. Too much pomp and ceremony and if I was a lawyer wearing one of those weird wigs I’d have a fit of the giggles every time I looked in a mirror … or a window reflection :)

Last Friday evening we headed off to Brissie for an 80th birthday party – Nana Goss is 80 and I finished this quilt for her
She’s the sweetest little lady, she just loves everybody! We had a great time catching up with the Goss clan ~ all seven of the siblings were there along with most of the husbands/wives and kids. Funny little man has three brothers and three sisters…
They’re a great bunch, always happy and full of fun
Moo met us there straight from work, Blossie hitched a ride down with us and Waterboy & Country Princess also met us there. It was a nice opportunity for the faraway Goss’ to meet our newest ‘girl-in-law’. Just in case you missed it.. and just in case I need to share another gorgeous photo… or two…
Ssshhhhh, I can’t stop looking at them

Last Sunday we had a surprise visit ~ Bev n Reg ~ one of my big sisters and her hubby. Had a great day! They’re the bride’s parents from the wedding we went to in late March
You might remember Bevvy from the photos I shared a couple of years ago… Remember block 5 of ‘Verandah Views’?
You can read about our ‘old’ chooks here and here. Our three chookies at the time were named after my three sisters… Fun! Our ‘now’ chooks are Milli and Vanilli and yes… they lay real eggs :)
This is Megs and her Daddy dancing their ‘butterfly kisses’ dance while the groom (Chris) and Bevvy watched… I think everyone had tears at this point
What a great time we all had…happy tears flowed and funny little man rocked the dance floor all night long!

I cleaned up my cave yesterday, then stood back and sighed. It’s a great space and I’m a lucky girl. I snapped a few photos to remind me of how it should look… it doesn’t look like this very often
Lots of room to womble around in, lots of storage space and BIG windows for natural light … and what do I see through those windows? Peaceful countryside! At the edge of our little estate, we have a slice of ‘country’, complete with cows. It won’t always be this way, I'm sure a developer is just itching to get his hands on it and make a thousand new house blocks. Until then we’ll enjoy the serenity…
Theo said hello to the cows last week, he wasn’t scared ~ just fascinated. Funny little dude, I wish he could talk

Today I’m working on a most beautifully embroidered quilt… 20 blocks, all embroidered with pearl thread and beautiful beading. The blocks are bordered with a shabby pink sashing to match the gorgeous shabby roses in the border print. Simple quilting will suffice. Sometimes I pinch myself – I love this part of my job

Righteo… I think we’re all caught up. I’ll be back tomorrow to kick off the April giveaway so check back then :)
Our ‘It’s a little bit French’ goodness for April might look something like this….and will be ready on Wednesday 25th April ~ Anzac Day!
Seeya tomorrow…
Cheryl xx
PS… It’s been a little bit of everything today! Probably because I want to go on another cruise… I also want to win lotto and be 2” taller …. :) Just sayin’…
